Region description:

Aktru area (named after Aktru peak, 4040 m) is the highest part of Northern Chuisky Range (the highest summit is Maashey-Bashi peak, 4173 m. It offers variety of possibilities for trekking and climbing. The unique feature of the area is the location of the "Aktru" mountaineering base - very close to Maliy (Small) Aktru glacier and it's availability even in winter. Because the area has good features for skitour snowboarding and heliskiing.

Weather Conditions:

Aipril and May is a good time for visit Aktru. Snow is stable and weather is sunny. Daytime temperatures on the track +2+10˚C and 0 -10˚C in the night. The temperature at the altitude of 3,000m in the night may drop to -20˚C or less.
